EMPOWERING WOMEN LUNCHEON

In support of the

Kiss Violence Against Women Goodbye! campaign

The Momentum Women Luncheon celebrated its 18th Anniversary on the 10th of May 2024 at Duxton Hotel Perth. This event aims to instil and encourage all women to inspire positive change in society, including addressing domestic abuse and violence.

The event commemorates women's progress and achievements in Australia and raises awareness of domestic violence, in support of the "Kiss Violence Against Women Goodbye!" campaign.

According to a report by the Australian Bureau of Criminology, almost one in ten women who live with a partner have experienced physical domestic violence within the span of three months. Furthermore, 1 in 6 women have experienced abuse from a partner since the age of 15. The event empowers women to find inner strength and fight against domestic abuse.

This signature event includes testimonial speakers, award presentations, a fashion parade, a 3-course gourmet luncheon, and a charity live auction and raffle.

Men in Black Ball

in support of Men's Mental Health

The Men in Black Ball was launched in 2008, in support of men's mental health and suicide prevention. The Men in Black Ball aims to make a difference to worthy causes, including men's mental health and suicide prevention, through awareness campaigns, programs and events. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women. They are less likely to seek help for mental health conditions than women.

To date, the Men in Black Ball has played a significant role in sparking conversation and reducing the stigma surrounding men's mental health. MIB is a must-see celebration of numerous people who have overcome their own struggles and are able to use their experiences to help others by opening up and speaking out.

This signature black-tie event includes testimonial speakers, award presentations, a 3-course gourmet dinner, live entertainment, and a charity live auction and raffle.

Previous speakers and award winners include Tim Marney, Daniel Kerr, Damien Martin, Leon Ruri, Eric Ripper, Dr George O'Neil, Soa "The Hulk" Palelei, Andrew Krakouer and Anthony Mundine.
