HAIR RAISING FOR WOMEN WITH CANCER

Updated: Jun 8, 2022

Women all over Australia are invited to donate their hair in support of the Momentum Forum "Hair Raising for Women with Cancer" initiative.

The not-for profit project will initiate a campaign structured through leading Australian hairdressing salons to invite clients to make their visit to the hairdresser more meaningful by donating their cut hair.

The funds raised from the sale of the donated hair to wigmakers will be given to Breast Cancer Research projects in WA. Maurice Meade is the first chain to join the campaign, with Melyssa Cotton as the first person to donate her hair to the "Hair Raising for Women with Cancer" cause. (Pictures below)

The aim of this initiative is to create a new way for the community to contribute and support worthy causes in the fight against cancer.

The campaign will be launched in Perth on October 6th 2012 at the Brian Gardner Pink Ribbon Ball.

Thank you to all generous donors!
